Tricuspidal incompetence secondary to "anulus" enlargement with leaflets coaptation deficiency

Right chambers apical longitudinal

Longitudinal parasternal "obliqued" on the tricuspid valve

R.B. : 72 yr, female. "Cor pulmonale", probably post-thromboembolic. A marked enlargement of the right chambers is evident producing a coaptation deficiency of the tricuspid valve leaflets (well shown in more planes). This gives origin at a center-valvular insufficiency moderate to severe. A less marked similar situation was present on the pulmonary valve. The right section overload is well showed by the inversed movement (paradoxical, toward the right chamber) of the interventricular septum during systole..

Tricuspid regurgitation flow continuous wave doppler
